My name is Ann and I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I am already an experienced host since 5 years for Gîte Citadin Au26 (9.3 score). My husband and myself have renovated and decorated this place all by ourselves, but could also count on friends, family and even neighbours for helping out.

This special place consists of 2 buildings, dating from the 18th and 17th century, recently renovated with style, love and hard labour. We are proud of the result and are happy to welcome you in one of our 6 rooms at Bonjour Pierreuse. It is located in the historic centre of Liège (Terrasses des Minimes, Palais des Princes-Evêques, Montagne de Bueren), close to culture (opera, musea), shopping area (Place Saint Lambert, En Neuvice) and restaurants (Place du Marché, le Carré). The famous waffles shop Saperlipopette is only a 2 minutes walk as well as the local bakery Chez Matteo. Our house is situated in one of the oldest streets of Liège. Our back building is constructed against the rocks of the Citadel, the hill in the centre of Liège. Our garden is situated on the 4th floor and is part of the famous Terrrasses which date back to the Middle Ages. From our garden you have a 180 degrees view on the city. Our rooms are situated on the first, second and third floor and are only accessible via stairs. This makes it unfortunately less suitable for people with reduced mobility. Our kitchen is accessible to all guests and is fully equiped for having breakfast or cooking your own meal. The inner court yard is ideal to have your breakfast in the morning, reading a book or have a drink in the evening. We chose not to install TVs in each room, but we have a large screen smart TV in our English style living room. Our garden is south oriented. You can enjoy the sun and the view in our lounge chairs or even have breakfast or barbecue. In the season you can eat the grapes from our own vineyard. Our fig tree provides for a welcoming shade during the summer months.

Rue Pierreuse is one of the oldest streets in Liège and is very picturesque, part of a lively and protected area and located at the foot of the Citadel and behind the Palace of the Prince-Bishops, a few minutes walk from the Place Saint Lambert (shopping malls), the Liège-Saint-Lambert station (train and bus) and the Place des Marchés (restaurants). The back house is adjacent to the Coteaux de la Citadelle, a green lung in the historical center composed of several green terraces with many monuments (including the famous Montagne de Bueren) and walking paths. From the front house you have a view of the Terrasses des Minimes. The access to the latter is 40 meters up the street. The street is accessible to local traffic (one way), but it is mostly tourists who walk here. There are several public parking lots available (Place Saint-Lambert the closest), and a private parking lot (upon availability and with a fee) at Rue Fond Saint-Servais.
