The Château du Pont d’Oye was originally built in 1644 and has been home to many historical figures, including the Marquise du Pont d’Oye and Belgian writer Pierre Nothomb, who made it a place of creativity and intellectual life. In 2019, the property was rescued from abandonment by Vincent Gouverneur, who began a major restoration project to bring new life to the château while respecting its history. Today, our small team manages 14 rooms (with more to come), a separate guesthouse, several reception spaces, and soon a wellness area. We’re dedicated to offering our guests a peaceful and authentic experience in a truly unique setting.

The Château du Pont d’Oye is a timeless place, surrounded by forests, ponds, and walking trails, in the heart of a 15-hectare private estate. Enjoy breathtaking views of the peaceful lake from the Domaine’s gardens and from several rooms. After several years of renovation, this historic château has regained its charm, blending period architecture and old materials with modern comfort. Each room is unique and designed to preserve the soul of the place while offering a warm, simple, and elegant atmosphere. The shared spaces — wood-panelled lounges, an inner courtyard, and a bright glasshouse — invite guests to relax, read, or enjoy a peaceful moment in nature. The Château also hosts events throughout the year, including weddings, seminars, and concerts, in a friendly yet refined setting. A wellness area with Nordic baths, a jacuzzi, and saunas will be added to the experience by early 2026.
