Here you can enjoy a unique experience in this former 18th century residence located at the Chevet de la Collégiale in the historic heart of the old town of Chimay. As soon as you arrive on the small flower-filled terrace, you'll discover a charming and authentic place; this house of character has 5 very well-kept and very well-equipped rooms, each of which tells a story.... This is a far cry from standard hotels, where you'll find comfort, peace and lots of charm. The owner (Brigitte) will do her utmost to provide you with comfort and serenity, taking every request into account and really listening to you. In the morning, breakfast is served on a beautiful table with a starched tablecloth and refined crockery; Brigitte will be able to offer you: flaxseed bread, crackers with sugar nuggets, home-made jams, fruit compote from the garden, Chimay cheese, fresh fruit, quality teas; the discussions are fascinating and lively. The region and its inhabitants are endearing and welcoming; the forests, the green countryside, the rivers and the pretty villages are still authentic. Chimay is also home to the famous Chimay Trappist beer. The choice of restaurants within walking distance is very interesting and varied.

Brigitte and Guy are the owners of this charming place. Brigitte is a convinced Chimayan, and is a member of several tourist and town-planning organisations in the town of Chimay. You might bump into her on one of the terraces in the historic centre, or in a small restaurant close to the old town. A native of Chimay, Brigitte will be happy to help you with any requests..... if you're looking for a particular product, an unusual walk, a place to picnic, or even if you're looking for a concert, a flea market or a beaver! .... Brigitte will be able to point you in the direction of some sometimes confidential addresses! As for Guy, he's originally from Bastogne (in the Belgian Ardennes). You could say that Guy is the most Chemacian of the Bastognards! A music lover and heavy metal singer, Guy is also the town crier for the town of Chimay. This original service is offered every Friday evening before the free concert during the summer. Every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the summer season, there's a concert and entertainment in the historic centre.
