--- PLEASE NOTE: If you are booking for others, if you are alone or as a couple and are booking a room for 6 or 12 people, if you are under 3 years of mental age, if you cannot read so far , if you have tiled floors in your living room or in your bedroom, if you plan to come to a hotel, if you want great luxury for this price, if you wear sandals with socks, if you have painted your living room in salmon color eggshell, if your car loses oil on the sidewalk, if you are grumpy or think you know everything, if you have false nails, or if you hunt elephants...! Would miss more, whether you hate dogs, or throw your trash in nature!!! : Please do not book instantly !!! and contact me first. it's simpler, and we avoid any misunderstandings.
- NOTE1: The general place is still under restoration, and some small works may be in progress. We do everything we can to avoid inconvenience to residents, as well as to cleanliness.
- NOTE2: We are in a quiet place, day and night. However, on Thursday evenings in summer and some Saturday evenings, noise can be heard following the events at Rockerill (Voisin), traffic jams for extreme sensitivity are provided.
- NOTE3: "WINTER"... (December-March), it is cold in the building, in the corridors and in the toilets. Only vital rooms and common areas are heated, so prepare accordingly. We are in "Warriors" mode. The heating in the rooms is with oil stoves (laser), and the sure consumptions are in extras. So you have to be prepared for all eventualities, in case of very cold weather. (it's not for everyone). And if despite this you still want to book, please enter the code “Warrior”;-). No need to come and cry...

We offer, in an unusual setting, a "unique" experience, 5 rooms on the 4th floor without elevator, homestay, a community place for artists and creators in residence.
We welcome you to an atypical mythical place in the heart of the Carolo industrial basin. In the former Providence design offices, built in 1963 and currently being restored, the place extends over 6 floors (no lift) and has an incredible 360° panoramic view from the roof. It is the refuge of choice for creators, intellectuals, artists, researchers and travelers on transhumance of all types. Alone or in groups (URBEX, students, etc.).
--- 45 minutes from Bruxelles-midi, by train. --- 500M from Marchienne-au-Pont station (BXL/CHARLEROI line). ---- 50 M from the PROVIDENCE Metro (Charleroi). We offer a Charleroi Airport lift, we pick you up or bring you back. - We rent bicycles (ideal transport), very practical for superb walks, going into town, or doing your shopping.

We are in the middle of nowhere, in the heart of the industrial architecture site with views of the slagheaps. Place of inspiration for the film: "The conveyors are waiting", the photographs of Stephan Vanfleteren, the documentary "Marchienne de vie", Germinal de Zola, Van Gogh chez les gueules noirs and so many other creators. At night, the lights, the sound of the factories in the distance, it's heavy, real. The movie "Blade Runner" on the side is for grandmas who make apple cakes.
--- A TRAVELER'S COMMENT: We had a timeless stay with our friend Serge!!! The place is grandiose at the height of its host with his artistic soul and his big heart. Serge is really a great person who really takes care of his guests, you can really count on him for all our questions, advice on the region, etc… he will bend over backwards to satisfy you!!! Just a personal note, if you are looking for a 5-star palace where everything is polished to the nines, go your way, but if you want to spend an authentic moment in an extraordinary place full of richness of life, you are really in the right place. !!!! Will I come back? For my part, if I have to stay in the Charleroi region without hesitation I have found my palace!!! Even if I pass through the region, I will just say hello to Serge because he is a person with great values who inspires respect.
