We welcome you to our home at Hullebrug**** Our little family - from neighbouring Nijlen - all went there to ‘kangaroo live’ in 2010. We were excited about the beautiful and time-honoured property and could certainly bring in a lot of creativity. Danny & Susan have long been familiar with the B&B formula. So it was quickly decided to run a B&B. Not just any B&B : guests should return home satisfied.... As ‘Erfgoed Logies’ we received the ‘4 stars’ quality label from Tourism Flanders. Right in the heart of Flanders, located in Heist op den Berg (Itegem), you will discover our characteristic farmstead. Downstream is the historic city of Lier (9km). Mechelen 18km & Antwerp 22km can be visited both by car or by train and the amusement park Bobbejaanland (16km) can be reached in about half an hour. Heist op den Berg is known for its Sunday market with brocante and provincial domain ‘de Averegten’. You walk/cycle/jog straight from our b&b, through the vast green Net landscape right through the silence area. A well-known landmark and historical site of Itegem & Heist-Op-Den-Berg The Hullebrug Hoeve is located on the border with Bevel/Nijlen, close to the Kruiskensberg chapel (ancient place of pilgrimage), in the region where Brabant exuberance blends with Kempen modesty (triangle of Lier, Heist-op-den-Berg, Herentals). Nearby in the Nete valley, you will discover Rameyen Castle and the castles of Gestel, Kessel and Hallaar. Also centrally located for a journey of discovery of cities such as Antwerp, Mechelen, Leuven and Brussels. Don't feel like taking the car? Nearby you can go by train (Berlaar/Heist op den Berg/Nijlen station) or by tram from Boechout. Park Planckendael, Technopolis and Toy Museum Mechelen are 18 km from the accommodation, while Chocolate Experience Museum and Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp can be reached at a 22km.
