First started in 1671 as a brewery and later on became the house of the notary and even the mayor of Meerhout, Den Beer really is a building with a rich history.
Today, we have tried to make the building a home for modern tourists and business travelers who are looking for authenticity in a unique atmosphere. You will sleep in high quality auping beds. All our flats are stylishly decorated with solid materials.
Hi, I’m Pieter, and always up for a good night out. From a cosy wine bar, to some trendy cafes! Just as many of us on this website I share the same passion for travelling and discovering new places.
I enjoy a bit of everything as most people do, but love sports whether it is running , cycling or horseback riding. In addition, I try to keep my cultural horizons open by visiting museums/exhibitions (we do have some really nice ones in Belgium) and various events as well as eating out and tasting our lovely Belgian cuisine offered in many restaurants nearby.
Den Beer is located on the market square of Meerhout, with a supermarket, bakeries, various pubs and restaurants within walking distance / in the immediate area. We are situated in an environment in which both green and recreation as well as numerous business centers and industrial zones are located. The E313 motorway towards Hasselt and Antwerp is also a 5-minute drive away.
"Bobbejaanland", "Olmense zoo", "Zilvermeer", "Sun Parks" and "het Grote Netewoud" are just some of the tourist attractions in the region. Numerous cycling and walking routes cross the area and the famous sauna and wellness complex "Hezemeer" is 10 min away.
Business travelers will also be charmed by the location near numerous business centers and industrial areas. Companies such as "Nike", "Janssen Pharmaceutica", "Bp", "Exxonmobil", "Sanofi" and many others have large locations in the immediate vicinity of Logement den Beer.
