Boasting mountain views, The Sanctuary Retreat & Spa features accommodation with patio, around 5.6 km from Salt Spring Golf & Country Club. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house offers sea views, a terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. At the guest house, the units are fitted with a desk. The units include a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer, while some rooms also offer a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a dishwasher. At the guest house, units are fitted with bed linen and towels. For those times when you'd rather not dine out, you can choose to cook on the barbecue. Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. Guests at The Sanctuary Retreat & Spa will be able to enjoy activities in and around Salt Spring Island, like hiking. Welcome to our Sanctuary in the trees!
Situated on 4 acres, our home is totally private, yet only a 3-minute drive to Ganges. Peaceful and tranquil, come here to relax after a full day of exploring.
Cosy up by the fire with a good book and a cup of tea. Get lost in the sweeping 180 degree views of Active Pass, stretching all the way from Whistler to Mount Baker. Drift off to sleep in your own little nest among the Cedar & Arbutus.
The space
Perched high atop Ganges Harbour, nestled among the trees, you will find our special sanctuary. After a quiet & peaceful night's sleep, awake refreshed in the serenity of the forest surrounded by natural light and fresh air.

Just two houses away you will find The Nest Yoga Studio. Practice with the warmth of a wood-burning stove and an amazing view! Book a private Hot Yoga class for 2, or for larger groups Sarah-Jane can lead a yoga class on the deck here, weather depending. Inquire about availability.
There is a multitude of lakes and hiking paths that will captivate your mind. The Salish Seas will calm you as the forest groves full of lush undergrowth, filled with ferns and big leaf maple encapsulate your soul.
3 minutes drive to Ganges town centre.
10 minutes to Long Harbour/Fulford.
23 minutes walking to Ganges (through trails, if you like!)
20 minute drive to Ruckle Provincial park
20 minute drive to Mt. Maxwell Provincial Park
Getting around
Although we would recommend having a vehicle, we have had guests that enjoyed their stay here and relied completely on the use of taxis. We are located 24 minutes walking from Ganges. The last 10 minutes of the walk are the most challenging as you ascend up the hill. This hike up to our home is totally do-able for the fit, and strong-minded, perhaps not with luggage :)
