Welcome to River Ridge Lodge! We're Frauke and Mike, the proud owners and innkeepers. We believe that everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, should feel welcome here.
Our goal is to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where our guests feel special and at home. We love meeting new people and sharing the beauty of Mahone Bay and the South Shore Nova Scotia. As ambassadors for this wonderful area, we want to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience during their stay.
After 25+ years in Vancouver, BC, we were ready for a change of pace and a closer connection to nature. We moved here to embrace a slower, more fulfilling lifestyle, surrounded by the great outdoors.

Our peaceful country location in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, offers plenty to explore. Discover the colourful and historic seaside towns of Mahone Bay, Chester, and Lunenburg - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - just a short drive away. Each town has its own unique charm and rich history waiting to be discovered.
During your stay, take advantage of our complimentary guest bicycles or snowshoes to explore the nearby Rum Runners Trail. Unwind and soak in a stunning sunset from our riverside dock or cozy guest porch. For ultimate relaxation, gather around our inviting fire pit in our comfortable Adirondack chairs.
Choose from our three bright and modern guest suites, complete with luxurious linens, private en suite bathrooms, picturesque views, WiFi, smart TVs with Netflix, mini-fridges, and air-conditioning. Our two-bedroom suite is perfect for families and small groups, offering a queen-sized bed in one room and two twin beds in the adjoining room.
