Comfortable, modern room with balcony and lake view with a fantastic panorama in multi-storey chalet building. With its own modern bathroom with shower / WC, hair dryer.
The bedroom with balcony, as well as lounge and dining hall, offer spectacular views of Lake Thun and Pyramid Mountain (Niesen).
Quietness, fresh air, cowbell ringing in the summer, lake view, and in the winter sunshine above the fog make the stay Z Aeschiried unique.
We offer beautiful accommodation in a wonderful location and at reasonable prices. Yet, we are not a hotel and do not offer some of the standard features, which might be known in traditional hotels. We have a self-check-in instead of a reception, which enables you to arrive anytime after 4pm. We have no TVs, but a beautiful view and internet. Also, we only clean the room at the end of your stay.
In idyllic quiet surroundings, ideally located for many excursions to the mountains or the lake. Directly on hiking trail and ski slope. In addition: barbecue area.
Nearby: mountain railways, downhill mountain biking, stand-up paddling, winter and summer tobogganing, climbing, caves, skiing, sightseeing flights.

The Retreat Hotel Z Aeschiried is located above Aeschiried on a hill with fantastic views of Lake Thun and the mountains. The nearest houses are several hundred meters away. Quietness, fresh air, the ringing of cowbells in the summer, the view of the lake, and in the sunshine above the fog in winter make the stay with us unique. Hiking trails start in front of the house. Among others, you can hike up the Morgenberghorn (good mountain boots necessary), which offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Alps.
Aeschiried has several restaurants and so does Aeschi. There you also find a tourist info centre, a grocery store with postal service and petrol stations and a public bath with sauna.
In winter the ski slope goes right past our house and the country skiing track is also very close.
Our hotel offers the tranquility of seclusion and a reasonably central location, from where most of the Bernese Oberland's attractions can be reached by car within one hour at most, for example Adelboden, Blausee, Interlaken, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Thun, Brienz; and even the city of Bern is not far.
