The Chalet Solaria was built in 1972 in the traditional chalet style. In 2023, the entire house underwent energy-efficient renovations (insulation, installation of a heat pump). Additionally, all rooms were completely renewed. All walls, windows, floors, kitchens, and bathrooms are new. Local wood was predominantly used for the interior. The chalet is located in a lively residential neighborhood above the village center. From train station to Chalet Solaria, the way is steep up hill. Bringing your own car is recommended. Normally, the local people walk up here everyday with no problem. The bedsheet and towel is provided one set per stay. To ask for more, the extra charges will be applied. Our room was renovated in August 2023 and completed in December 2023. It was previously a studio room, and we converted the space into a bedroom with a locking door, a separate living room that you can find even more relaxing than before. Our small kitchen is suitable for light cooking, but please note that we do not have an oven and dishwasher. Nevertheless, you can still cook on the stove. If you like to try the farmer home made style restaurant in the alp, i do reccomend "Site alp". You can drive up to Sparenmoos, there you can park a car with parking fee ( 5CHF). From Sparenmoos, just walk along the walking way to "Sitealp" around 30 minutes. In Winter, you can make the nordic ski in Sparenmoos as well. To stay in Chalet Solaria you will get guest card, with this guest card you can benefit to buy "Gstaad Card" only 19 CHF/PERSON 9 CHF/KID (from May- Oct) With Gstaad Card, you can have many discounts for mountain railways, various other public transport services, as well as different offers on attractive leisure services.
