Chalet Steingärtli 1 is a stylish modern holiday apartment located in the beautiful family-friendly "car-free" mountain village and ski resort of Wengen, conveniently located 4 - 6 minutes (300m) walk from central Wengen and the train station and is also only 60 metres from the ski piste into the village. This wonderful apartment is on the ground floor, with a south-facing stone terrace and a large lawned garden with views towards the Jungfrau and surrounding mountains. It has 2 spacious bedrooms, both have king-size double beds (European size), 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and shower overhead and one with a shower cubicle. The stylish open-plan kitchen dining living room is a great space for entertaining with a large dining table and enough seating for 8 people. And for al fresco dining, there is a dining table and chairs on the garden terrace under the covered area for shade on sunny days. The kitchen is well equipped for “home” cooking and entertaining. It includes an electric ceramic hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso capsule coffee machine, fondue Chinoise, cheese fondue and raclette grill. There is a cosy double-glazed "reading room" just off the living-dining area which is a great place to relax. The apartment is bright and airy with both bedrooms also having wonderful south-facing views towards the garden and mountains beyond. The 2 double bedrooms are spacious and each has a desk which could be used as a workspace. There are 2 modern bathrooms. The main bathroom has a bathtub with a shower overhead and WC. It also has a speaker linked to the HiFi music system in the kitchen. The second private bathroom has a shower cubicle and WC and is located just off the shared chalet entrance hallway. There is a private washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room just off the shared entrance hallway and is available for use by guests. There is indoor ski storage available in the shared stairwell just outside the apartment.

This property is located in Wengen, a stunning alpine village in the heart of the Jungfrau Region. Important: Wengen is a car-free mountain village with no road access. Private vehicles are not allowed. There is no road to drive to Wengen. The only way to access Wengen is by train. Guests must drive to the village of Lauterbrunnen, located in the valley below, where you will find a large multi-storey parking garage next to the Lauterbrunnen train station. You must park your car there for the duration of your stay. From Lauterbrunnen, it’s a 12-minute scenic train ride up the mountain to Wengen. Trains run regularly throughout the day and well into the evening. Once you arrive in Wengen, taxis are available to take you and your luggage to the apartment, if needed.
