Opened in 1854 in the centre of Engelberg’s amid an impressive mountain scenery, Hotel Engelberg is located on the pedestrianized Dorfstrasse with its many restaurants and shops. All rooms have a bathroom, cable TV and telephone. The free bus to the cable cars stops just 300 metres away. The Restaurant Engelberg on site features a summer terrace and offers barbecued food and Raclette based on regional ingredients. On request, ski tours can be organized on spot. Several other facilities can be enjoyed in the surroundings, such as trail running, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, rock climbing and hiking. Hotel Engelberg is located in a car-free zone, but access by car is possible. Engelberg’s train and bus stations are 600 metres away.
