The historical, family-run Splendid hotel in Montreux was built in 1904 and offers panoramic views over Lake Geneva and free Wi-Fi in all of the spacious rooms. Rooms at the Splendid hotel come with a flat-screen TV with cable channels and contain a private bathroom. Some units have a lake view and come their own terrace or balcony. Delicious Swiss and international cuisine is served in the restaurant and the café is a cosy place to relax. The Splendid hotel is Montreux's only 3-star hotel on the lakeside. It occupies a historic building and therefore does not feature air conditioning. The Freddy Mercury Memorial Statue is 300 metres away. The conference centre and the train station are close by. Free local public transport is provided when staying at Hotel Splendid.

"Let's be realistic, it's an old 3 star hotel right on the lakeshore in Montreaux. Probably the cheapest place you'll find for location, so enjoy it for what it is. Everyone was super friendly, I had a balcony front facing view of the lake...."
