More than 30 years ago, the Hotel Unicornio Azul gave life to an old wooden house from the 20th century built in 1910. Since 1986 it has offered accommodation, a restaurant, a bar, free private parking and a garden. The Unicornio Azul Hotel is located on Avenida Pedro Montt on the waterfront and in front of the Fiordo de Castro. From the hotel, the historic center, the Plaza de Armas and the Church of San Francisco de Castro are 600 meters away. The bus station is 400 meters away and Mocopulli Airport 19 kilometers from the hotel. If planes travel to Chaitén, our hotel is located just a few steps from the maritime government and the ferry crossing that travels to the mainland. If you stay at Unicornio Azul you will find the Lillo Craft Fair and Farmer's Market just 550 meters away, as well as the dock where boats set sail daily for tours of Castro Bay. The hotel is 5 km from Nercón Church and 25 km from Rilán Church. The nearest airport is Mocopulli Airport, 19.6 km from Hotel Unicornio Azul. A continental buffet breakfast is served at the property. The hotel houses a lounge on the third floor. Six of its rooms include a balcony, the other rooms offer views of the garden. All the rooms at the Hotel Unicornio Azul de Castro are equipped with central heating, Wi-fi and TV. The bathroom is private and includes a shower, the hairdryer must be requested at reception.

LOCAL TAX LAW.
Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%
To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).
This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid seperately.
