People travelling to Colombia with children under 18 years of age are required to present the child's birth certificate and a photo ID (passport for international guests) during check-in. If the visitor is a relative or legal guardian of the child, a notarised consent of travel signed by both parents must be presented, along with photocopies of their IDs. If only one parent is travelling with their child, a notarised travel consent signed by the absent parent must be presented. Breakfast is not included for young children staying free of charge if their parents or guardians use existing beds. A children's breakfast is available for an additional fee.
As per Colombia´s tax law, only tourists who have a Permit of Entry and Permanence, tourist permit category PT before PIP-3, or PIP-5, or PIP-6, or PIP-10 are exempt from paying 19% IVA taxes; or visa type V (Visitor) before Visa TP-11 or TP-12 or visa type M (Migrant) before TP -7 or visa type R (Resident). At the time of check-in at the hotel, the corresponding stamp or visa must be shown.
