The apartment is in a historic former farmhouse. Because of its timber frame architecture it is listed as no. 785 in the list of historic buildings of the City of Düsseldorf. It was constructed in the 17th or 18th century. The exact date is not known.
The house was completely refurbished some years ago and offers any comfort of modern living. Clay plaster and wall heating create a comfortable indoor climate. Thick walls provide moderate temperatures in summer.
Heating and water heating is done by solar panels and wood heating, this means it is Carbon neutral.
Close to the City and still a rural setting
Although close to the city centre (3,7 km to Königsallee) , the house is surrounded by abundant greenery.
The building is within walking distance to the University of Düsseldorf. A tram station and a subway station (direct connection to fair ground) is nearby.
