We, Annerieke and Gert-Jan Bos bought this house at the end of 2019 to supplement the Eifelkloster Mürlenbach. The monastery is a holiday home for large groups, but there was also a great demand for smaller accommodation. We live here since 2017 and still enjoy this beautiful environment every day. We would like to let people enjoy this by offering them a cozy, affordable overnight stay. And whether that is for 2 or 7 people, for 1 night or a whole holiday, everything is possible. The beds are already made for you, and the towels are in the closet for you. If you would like to be pampered with a delicious full breakfast, you can go for a small price to the bakery of Roden Brot located 50 meters away.

"Die rote Ente" (The red Duck) is a former farmhouse in the German Eifel, situated against a mountain with the river Kyll at the front. The house was completely renovated in early 2020 and is now rented as a holiday home for up to 7 people. The house is part of the adjacent Eifelkloster Mürlenbach, a former monastery that has been converted into a holiday home for groups of up to 40 people. Die rote Ente is a cozy house with a large covered terrace under the hay loft and a sun terrace in the adjacent garden. The terrace has an outdoor stove for a cozy fire and also a BBQ. The Eifel is especially popular with motorcyclists because of its many beautiful roads. The house has the ability to store the engines. Die rote Ente is located on the Kyll-Radweg, one of the many beautiful cycling routes in the area. And mountain bikers can, just like hikers in the beautiful surroundings, indulge themselves, right next to the monastery you can already go into the woods. The Kyll is a popular place for fly fishing for anglers. And after such a wonderful day in the fresh air, you can relax in the sauna in the house.
