🏡 About me & my sustainability concept: My name is Eduard Lorentz and I have worked in the international hotel industry for over 30 years – hospitality and quality are close to my heart. After many years at home and abroad, I have fulfilled my dream of creating a place where comfort, style, and sustainability come together harmoniously with the “Lieblingseck” vacation apartment on Lake Chiemsee. I live in the same building and am happy to be there for my guests in person – whether they have questions, need tips on excursions, or have individual requests. A friendly conversation, good advice, or a smile – for me, that's simply part of genuine hospitality. In the summer of 2024, the “Lieblingseck” was certified by Viabono, Germany's leading professional organization for sustainable travel. This makes the apartment one of the top 50 sustainable accommodations in Germany. With CO₂ emissions of only 0.7 kg per overnight stay, it falls five times below the certification requirements – and already meets the German government's climate targets for 2045. The centrally controlled ventilation system constantly supplies the building with pre-tempered, filtered fresh air. With up to 18 air changes per day, manual ventilation is not necessary. Nevertheless, there is a window in the bedroom that can be opened partially or completely. A Passive House Plus is a further development of the classic passive house that goes beyond pure energy efficiency. In contrast to the classic passive house with a primary energy requirement of ≤ 60 kWh/(m²a), the Passive House Plus requires only about 25–30 kWh/(m²a).
