We are an retired couple with a young dog. Our 3 children live abroad. In leisure time we prefer reading Italian or English books. Furthermore we like eating international food and enjoy the unique view on to the Rhine river in St.Goarshausen or at the Loreley with a tasty glas of wine or a book.

The Loreley valley on the middle Rhine is a UNESCO world heritage side. It is a stunning area with gorgeous views over around 40 castles on both sides of the river as well as romantic villages with ancient timber framedhouses. You can climb the famous RHEINSTEIG wanderway in the very vicinity (about 400 meters away) and the Jakobsweg,passing along directly behind the house.. Many ship cruises on the Rhine from Koblenz to Mainz stop here. The region hosts festivals nearly all year round in the open air theatre of the Loreley and also a summer toboggan run. Additionally, every September the fascinating show “Rhein in Flammen” takes place here. The ancient old town of St. Goarshausen is also a must for all visitors. For water sports enthusiasts there is an indoor swimming pool in St. Goarshausen-Heide or the more adventurously ones can do rafting on the river. And there is not to forget to mention the gorgeous three-castle-view from Patersberg. An interesting and romantic jouney, which will remain unforgettable.
