We love taking our vintage car for a ride in the Alps: Scenic trips to the “Lechtal” (Austrian Alps) and the Alpine foothills, as well as short trips around the “Forggensee” are a great way to relax. The love for vintage cars definitely runs in the family! The best way to enjoy a trip in the Alps is to combine it with a hike and a stop in one of the lovely alpine huts. That’s how we can also make sure that our hunting dog “Argos” doesn’t miss out on a day like this ¬– which draws us to our next passion: hunting. Maybe if you like, we could provide you with a delicious piece from our own hunt. Our love for vintage cars is a nice plus for you too because we can give you good information on trips to our beautiful surroundings and tell you where to find the most charming picnic places.
You can of course also get all information on hiking possibilities around Füssen and the Allgäu mountains. Let’s not forget running in Füssen: There are many routes and paths varying from 3 km (1.86 miles) – 42,195 km (26,219 miles).  Every year in July the scenic “Königsschlösser-Romantik-Marathon” takes place that starts right in the heart of Füssen’s old town. Attractive bicycle tours – relaxed or ambitious, by mountain or racing bike – are available, too. Moreover you will find hiking maps in the living room shelves. Winter sport enthusiasts can take advantage of a lovely cross-country ski trail that starts right at Füssen’s old town. A 10-minute drive will lead you to the cross-country ski trails at the Tegelberg that offer varying levels of difficulty. If you’re looking for relaxation in a beautiful atmosphere, try the “Königliche Kristall-Therme” (thermal baths) in Schwangau with its numerous sauna and wellness offerings. The thermal baths are decorated with 15 tonnes of gemstones in accordance with the doctrine of salvation of Saint Hildegard of Bingen. You will experience a royal ambience as a continuation of the “Fairy-Tale King’s” bathing dreams.
