You have made a conscious decision to stay in the guest area of our non-profit international school. Thank you very much. This goes back to the Leipzig-born NASA scientist Prof. Dr. Jesco von Puttkamer. We are committed to supporting young natural scientists on a voluntary and full-time basis. Any rooms still available in our guest area are available to the public for a small fee to support our school. As a school, we are fully occupied with lessons and excursions 7 days a week, but a separate reception desk is available from 16-19 hrs. Arrivals outside these hours are not possible under any circumstances. You will be served by nice Leipzig students. We thank you in advance for your understanding. You can expect a modern school with a guest area from the Gründerzeit (built in 1893, renovated in 2016-20). With your booking you support young natural scientists and save 6 kg CO² per night on their footprint thanks to environmental technology. The entire house is self-sufficient during the day with electricity and hot water from the sun. At night a natural gas power plant takes over this work. We keep distances and hygiene concepts. Our facility is set up accordingly as a training center for young aerospace engineers. A rocket park, polytechnic and a pool complete the campus for members. You can also book your own parking space. Breakfast is available on weekends on advance booking. Interested parties can register for a guided tour at the reception. Especially those guests who have understood and support our concept by reading the description are in good hands here. The rooms are designed for stays of 2-4 days. They all have TV, internet, checkroom, table, chairs, but do not have closets. All floors are accessible by stairs. You can read more details in the room description.

We are located in a lively district, 200 m away from the central transfer point "Reudnitz-Köhlerstraße". The street is loud during the day also because of the streetcar, but our modern soundproof windows easily swallow that. If you are sensitive to noise in the big city, you should take appropriate precautions. On the backside it is green and quiet. The whole Gründerzeit quarter has been completely renovated since 2014 including the streets and is now a jewel. Only a few houses are still in the final stages of reconstruction. A park and all necessary shopping facilities and restaurants are within 300 m reach. There are 3 stops or 20 minutes walking distance to the city center. The Gewandhaus, Opera, University, Zoo, Arena, Red Bull Stadium, Monument of the Battle of the Nations, Trade Fair, Airport and the agricultural area can be reached directly by train 4/7 or bus 70/72 with max. one change. Leipzig is surrounded by many renaturalized lakes, which used to be opencast lignite mines. A detour to swim, dive, raft, boat, bike and also for one of the many events is always worthwhile.
