Mantaraya Lodge in Puerto López mixes fantastic architecture with bright colours, an outdoor pool and a tropical setting. Its air-conditioned rooms have private bathroom and a balcony with a hammock. The beach is 3 km away. The restaurant serves Ecuadorian and international food. Breakfast includes tea and coffee, as well as eggs, toast with butter and jam, cereals and empanadas (local pasties). Free Wi-Fi is available in common areas. The spacious rooms in Mantaraya have large windows and traditional tiled floors. All have fans. Diving, snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding with beach activities are organized, as well as visits to la “Isla de la Plata”, which is 3 km away. Puerto López can be reached in about 5 minutes by car. The lodge will be happy to help arrange tours of the local area.
