My husband and I are the direct owners of Edificio Aljamar villa 8a. We decided to rent our villa for summer and short term lets in 2013 and have received great TripAdviser reviews as our philosophy is to treat people as our guests. As we have a keylock safe in all of our 5 properties guests arrive at any time depending on whether we have guests departing on the same day but normally we can work around the timing of guests so that no one is inconvenienced. Felipe and I are supposed to be retired but we like meeting new people and enjoy hosting our guests. We have a small team of helpers and can usually rectify any problems which may occur in the shortest possible time as my husband being spanish and local knows all of the local mechanics and specialists.

Our villa is probably one of the very best in Burriana beach zone as it has a huge terrace (housing a puprose built bbq) ideal for alfesco eating the year round as there is sun on various parts throughout the day. We aimed to offer the facilities as a "home from home". The separate kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking for up to 8 to 10 persons. The villa is split on three levels. At the community street level inside the entrance door there is a separate toilet, the lounge a superb small terrace looking towards the sea and the mountains nd the kitcehn. On the second level there is the master beroom and two other bedrooms plus th family shower room. On the bottom level is another family bthroom and two internal bedrooms which we do not advertise but are in fact used by say grandparents for siestas. The Aljamar community street is safe for children as no cars are alloed to park. The walk to Burriana beach takes about 5 to 10 mins depending on how fast the person walks and in our information pack we have provided several ways about how to walk to the Balcon de Europa via the beach or passing the Parador Hotel. 2 mins walk away is the bus stop. House rules are applied

Burriana Beach zone in Nerja is probably the most popular in Nerja as it has it's own car park and has many first and seco d line restaurants and shops. For those who like water sports there are many different types at the beach and for families with young children the climbing frames and play areas are most popular too. Our villa is a short walk down to the beach and it would take about 15 to 20 mins to walk to Balcon de Europa via the beach or the front of the Parador hotel. Edificio Aljamar is probably one of the most elegant Edificio in this area with it's own large community swimming pool for which we pay as well so our guest can either use the private pool of the villa or the community pool/ At the back of Edificio is a bus stop so those who do not wish to use the car (or have not hired a car) to go into town can easily catch a bus ride. The Nerja caves is not far away either and you could either ride the red and white train from far end of the car park of Plaza de Espana or take the car there. It really is a must for visitors. We have provided an information sheet detailing places to visit either by car or bus not far from Nerja including Frigiliana etc
