My grandmother's house is completely renovated, preserving some of its furniture also restored. Built in 1900 and located in the historic center of Requena, two steps from the main square where there are several restaurants, the caves of the Villla and a winery for wine tasting, in addition to its Gothic churches. You can also visit different wineries located a few km from Requena. It is a very quiet house, cozy in winter and cool in summer.

The house is located in one of the main streets of the historic center of Requena. It is a very quiet place, where you can also find several restaurants, churches and caves, built by the Arabs run through the basement of the Plaza de La Villa and most of the adjacent houses. They were used as shelters in the different wars and as silos for cereals. Elements for the elaboration of wines are preserved in them (trullos, piqueras, trulletas, vents and jars of the XII century). When I was a child, I loved going to my grandmother's house. In the summers I spent there, as soon as I entered the house, I could already feel the coolness and its characteristic smell. On the other hand, when the cold weather arrived, what I liked most was roasting potatoes and chestnuts on the cooker, with my legs tucked under the table in the heat of the brazier. But without a doubt, the most fun was helping him prepare the food for the chickens tha she had in the stable. Nowadays, things have changed a lot, there are no more hens or wood cooker, because a few years ago I started the project of restoring Ca la Abuela, with the intention of making it more mine but without forgetting its true essence. Now I hope that visitors who come to the house will feel as comfortable as I did when I was living there.
