Situated in Avila's Old Town, just 300 metres from the Cathedral, Palacio de Monjaraz hotel is a renovated 16th-century building of traditional stone construction. Free WiFi is available. The property is transformed into a local history museum by having digital plaques from which you can download information about famous locals, such as Santa Teresa De Jesus. Please note this is an old building and the water pipes are noisy . I do not mind but keep it in mind if you are sound-sensitive.
