The house is in Saksun, which is north of Strømø. It is surrounded by very beautiful nature with high mountains. When you live in Saksun, you also have good opportunities to drive around most of the islands in the Faroe Islands. The house was built in the 1940. Each floor is 40 sqm. In the middle floor there is the kitchen, Bathroom and the living room. On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms. In the largest of the rooms there is a double bed. In the 2 other rooms there are built-in beds. The special feature of the house is that the original style from 1840 is preserved. Renovations have been made since then, so the house is today in a fine condition. All modern facilities are in the house. In the basement there is a washing machine and a clothes rack. Saksun is a wonderfully remote hillside village and is one of the most worthwhile destinations in the country. Known for its tranquil atmosphere, the tiny village of 14 inhabitants offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains. It is obvious to explore the mountains, which are right outside the door of the cottage. The Nearest village, which is Hvalvik is located 11 km from Saksun. There are no fixed local buses running to Saksun. Nearest shopping opportunities are located in Oyrabakka, about 15 km from Saksun.
