“Laon is a great place to stop en route from Calais and the Tramway is a very nice hotel. The old town with spectacular cathedral is a long climb (though you can drive) but well worth the effort.”

Medieval centre and its beautiful cathedral is a 20-minute walk (up the steps. !)
