Cement tiles, exposed stones, ogival cellars, old mosaic floors, stone and oak staircases, wrought iron balconies, old woodwork joyfully rub shoulders with today's designers! Le 49 welcomes you in its traditional setting to offer you a modern and warm cocoon. Five spacious rooms for this guest house, all different and very comfortable, will seduce you with their originality. A park and its hundred-year-old trees, a large south-facing terrace and its 10x5m swimming pool, Le 49, a colourful, joyful and poetic house, opens its doors to you!

We have put all our heart into bringing this 300 year old house back to life to welcome our guests with all possible comfort. We are happy to meet people from all walks of life and from all countries and to help them discover our beautiful Jura! From the welcome to the breakfast based on organic, local and homemade products, the rest by the pool or a walk in the park to discover our vegetable garden, everything is done so that you are in a cocoon of softness and serenity.

We are located in the Jura vineyards with the famous Vin Jaune, 3km from Chateau Chalon, the most beautiful village in France, 6km from Baume les Messieurs with its ninth century Cluniac abbey, its waterfall and caves and 4km from Chateau d'Arlay, a marvellous 18th century chateau surrounded by 20 hectares of vines. 15 minutes away is the town of Arbois, the capital of wine, the town of Louis Pasteur, surrounded by vineyards and 10 minutes away is the town of Pologny, the capital of Comté cheese with a protected designation of origin! 15 minutes away we find ourselves in the land of lakes with lush vegetation. We find the lake of Chalain, the lake of Clairvaux, the lake of Vouglans, all of which have an emerald colour and are all equipped for swimming. On these lakes all water sports can be done. The town of Salins les bains and its saltworks, a UNESCO site, is a unique site in France. The area is full of natural and historical resources and will satisfy both young and old. The great sportsmen will find their pleasure with the canyoning, rafting, via ferrata, speleo, water skiing, circuits vtt, ski the winter...etc
