After an international career in selling investment goods for US companies I ran for 30 years my own business for consulting and training sales forces of corporations for more profitable strategic top-down-selling. And now as a retired couple we returned to my wife Andrée´s home-country, the heart of Alsace. This apartment block is located midst in Colmar´s villa quarter "Little Venice", which was built during the German reign between 1871 and 1918 near the historic center. Just across rue Bartholdi you´ll find one the masterpieces of the "Jugendstil"-architecture (in French "Art deco") with its impressively crafted light green iron fence. Stroll around and admire the variety of the individual villas of the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. One villa-block northwards you are entering the historic center of Colmar with its many interesting historic buildings, its abundance of good and excellent restaurants, "winstubs" and cafés ...
