Aldhelm Cottage is one of our 2-bedroomed cottages which is perfect for up to 4 guests (plus cots). Aldhelm cottage is second from left in the picture (mid terrace). Inside, you'll find contemporary furnishings including modern sofas, fireplaces, and soft lighting, combining style with comfort. Step outside from the living room onto a stone paved patio, ideal for enjoying sunset drinks or watching the little ones play while taking in the view. Our four self-catering holiday cottages have two rooms: a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, located on the first floor. There is also a family bathroom with contemporary sanitary-ware, a bath with an over-shower, a wash basin and a toilet. Each cottage feature stylish contemporary kitchens with granite worktops, equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, and full size fridge & freezer. You'll find a hob, oven, and all the necessary cookware, crockery, and glassware. The open-plan lounge/dining room includes underfloor heating and a SMART TV for those lazy or wet days during your holiday. We take pride in being baby-friendly and with children ourselves we understand the equipment that can make your stay feel like a home-from-home. Let us know your specific requirements before your trip, and we can provide wooden cots for younger babies, travel cots for older ones, bed guards, high chairs, sterilisers, changing mats, and stair gates. Upon request, a separate laundry building is available, offering washing machines and dryers for all cottage guests. Additionally, all our holiday cottages provide wireless broadband access. Please note that smoking and pets are not allowed. Less than three miles away is the vibrant town of Frome. With its historic buildings and beautiful independent shops, alongside a thriving contemporary arts scene, it has been highlighted as one of the ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’ by The Times. Frome is also the original Somerset Market Town, and this tradition continues today with regular weekly markets and, on the first Sunday of each month during the summer, ‘The Frome Independent’ - a mini festival bringing together the best artisan food and drink, artists and designers, local produce, plants, home wares and street entertainment. A ten minute drive takes you to the famous Longleat House and Safari Park for which the owners of By The Byre are able to offer their guests a 20% discount on a one day ticket. The splendid Georgian City of Bath with its museums, street cafes, boutiques and Roman baths is 12 miles away, and within easy reach by car are a number of visitor attractions such as Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge, and historic towns including Bradford on Avon, Glastonbury and Wells.
