The Dozy Deer - a newly renovated guest house - is just a short walk from Windermere centre. The rooms feature en suite bathrooms. No breakfast included. Windermere’s cafes and restaurants are just a short stroll away from The Dozy Deer. Rooms feature a TV and hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities are also available. Breakfast is not provided, but we do have a dining room with a bean to cup coffee machine and a selection of teas at no extra charge. Breakfast is available at many cafes nearby, the closest being Homeground which is 400m away. Built from local Lakeland stone, The Dozy Deer is just 15 minutes’ walk from Windermere Railway Station. The beautiful walking routes of Orrest Head and Millerground are easily reached on foot.

Having lived and worked in the lakes for many years, Beth has a love for the local area and all its offerings. From paddleboarding to climbing, she has given it all a go! As well as running The Dozy Deer, Beth also runs a Paddleboard Centre operating on both Windermere and Coniston Water.

Located centrally in the popular town of Windermere, offering a great base to explore the National Park from. Coffee and hot drinks available as well as access to Dining room and front garden. Contactless arrival with external key locks means you can enjoy peace from the moment you arrive. Please note we do not allow occupancy per room to be exceeded.
