Welcome to Dartmoor View Lodges at South Trew, situated in the beautiful Devon countryside, just a few hundred yards outside of the village of Highampton. Experience a completely different holiday that will make you feel closer to nature with all your home comforts in a cosy log cabin, set in a peaceful idyllic environment with fantastic views of the Dartmoor hills. Perfect for a unique relaxing break! Unlike many other ‘lodges’ which have wood on the outside and plasterboard walls on the inside – our lodges have a genuine ‘log cabin’ appeal because the walls are made of real logs, all the way through to the inside. So you get the true log cabin experience of warmth and comfort at the start of the day and a real home from home feeling on your return at the end of the day. We are a small and private holiday ‘complex’ with only 3 unique lodges – where you are assured of a personal service as well as having a peaceful holiday or a short break. Our lodges are south facing and have outstanding views across miles of unspoilt Devon countryside towards Dartmoor. The lodges have their own entrance track which is separate from the owners' drive, so you can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone. Pets are allowed in Brambles, up to 2 medium size dogs, small charge payable upon arrival. Please message with details of your dog/s and we can advise accordingly.

Andrew & Sally live on-site about 100 metres away from the lodges and are always on hand to deal with any problems that occur or offer suggestions about where to go and what to do in the local area. We love nature and enjoy living in the countryside, have a couple of dogs and often there are sheep or horses in the surrounding fields.

The site covers nearly 12 acres, the views from the lodges are outstanding, across miles of unspoilt countryside to the hills of Dartmoor. It is very quiet, a car is essential for getting about and we are centrally placed to get to all corners of Devon and Cornwall. Highampton has a village pub, visiting Post Office, school and Village Hall and the nearest large village is Hatherleigh where there's a good selections of pubs, cafes and shops. A bit further afield are the towns of Okehampton and Holsworthy both of which have a good selection of shops and supermarkets. The beautiful seaside town of Bude is only 30 minutes away.
