Steading cottage is hidden away from site in a quiet rural country location only 2 miles from the centre of Crieff. The property has been renovated to a very high standard, the accommodation is all on the ground floor, comfortably sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms (1 kingsize bed and two twin beds), a very spacious sitting room - dining room which extends to almost 12 metres. There is a wood burning stove at one end and an archway to a large area with a high ceiling, wooden floors, rugs and french doors that open onto a 'sun trap patio' area with views towards Ben Chonzie. It is extremely comfortable and is equally suitable for couples on a romantic break or a small group of friends holidaying together. Children are welcome too, and we are happy to provide a cot for a baby if requested in advance. The self-catering rental price is fully inclusive of all services and utilities. There are no hidden extra costs for wi-fi, heating, logs, bed linen (lovely cotton) or final cleaning, fresh flowers in the rooms and a generous welcome pack are provided for all guests. There is plenty of parking and free wifi. The garden is secure and pets are welcome.
The cottage is part of a former Steading where the owners live - you will not find them intrusive, the property has been cleverly developed to give privacy and space. There is an all weather tennis court in the grounds and guest are welcome to use this by arrangement with the owners. We look forward to welcoming you to stay!
The cottage is ideally located in Perthshire as a centre for holiday activities. Many golf clubs (of different lengths and standards very close) and much hiking / walking all around, fishing, riding, tennis (Gleneagles pay and play indoor tennis centre is just 15 minutes) watersports too. There are castles and historic buildings to visit and gardens galore - Drummond castle gardens are only a mile away! Approx 50 miles from Ediburgh - Glasgow - St. Andrews - Steading Cottage in easy reach of so much! Crieff itself is a very friendly small town with local Scottish pubs, several good restaurants, small independent shops, convenience store, delicatessen, supermarket, several 'spa' possibilities, cafes, wine bars, a distillery and art gallery.
