You won’t forget the charm of this rustic family home with animals and views! 'Eaves' is the loft space of a new outbuilding situated in an old rustic farmyard away from the main farmhouse (dating back to 1600) up a few steps with private access and parking in the upper yard. Inside Eaves (which is one big space with an en suite bathroom) there are three windows opening out onto a field views and sometimes cows! We also have two friendly ponies, six hens, our friendly spaniel and Spider the cat who all live on our property. Please note that Eaves has one double bed, one single bed and one small futon on the floor. The daily rate includes the double bed, but there is a fee for each extra person/bed. There is a maximum of 4 guests, with two sharing the double bed. I will make up the number of beds for how many guests specified in your booking. If your plans change and you need more or less beds for more or less people please adjust your booking numbers through the website 24hrs ahead of your arrival and let me know please so I can accommodate this :) In Eaves, there is a mini fridge, toaster, tea (everyday tea and Pukka herbals), Italian coffee (ground from beans),a pint of semi skimmed organic cows milk from our milkman, crockery & cutlery, a torch, books, games and local information. Please note there is no internet or television in Eaves but there are puzzles, games, cards and books :) We offer a fun, rustic but peaceful place to stay with lovely views!

My husband (Chris) and I live with our two children (aged 12 and 13) in an old farm house, with our crazy spaniel dog, a cat, group of hens and two ponies (a wary Welshie and an inquisitive Arab) in a village near Frome, Somerset. We love meeting and sharing chat with our guests on all things and hearing about you. We have creative backgrounds and interests in textiles, fashion, film, animals, wildlife and are usually out and about doing things around the farm. Fun Frome is just a few mins drive away and is amazing for music, all arts and independent shops :)

'Eaves' is in the very friendly village of Buckland Dinham with a great pub serving food (The Bell) and a village playfield a few minutes walk from Eaves up through the fields with beautiful views! There are amazing footpaths through and from the village to other villages, the River Frome, Orchardleigh estate (with golf) and Frome itself including the Macmillan Way. A few minutes walk also connects you to the cycle path along the old railway track which links to the wider network of multi user paths all over the South West. Neighbouring village, Mells, has a shop, cafe and post office selling local produce and provisions (6 mins drive or a lovely walk along Iron Mill Lane with a cup of tea and a bun at the end!) and a Walled Garden selling plants, oven baked pizza's and ice creams and then there is the top Talbot pub selling gastro drinks and food. Frome itself has many independent shops, the delicious Rye Bakery, cafes, restaurants, galleries (The Black Swan, The Pedestal), music at the Cheese and Grain, the independent market, great pubs (The Three Swans), The Westway Cinema (very cheap), The Merlin Theatre and SO much more.
