Our Cosy little barn consists of slate and wood flooring, solid wood kitchen with a Belfast sink and marble tops, it offers a fridge freezer, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Also for the longer stay guests we offer an additional fridge in our metal shed in the garden. The bedroom has a king-size bed and the living room has a double comfortable pull out sofa bed. On those cold winter nights you can sit in front of a wood burner (logs provided). Or on the warmer nights you can enjoy the secure in-closed private garden and have a bar be que and a refreshing drink. The barn has a roll out blind off the side of the barn to give shade or protection from light rain so you can enjoy the fab views of Dartmoor. We are dog friendly, however ask no pets upstairs. we provide a stair gate. (2 dogs only) with a supplement charge. We are very lucky to offer our guest's two local pubs, which serve local Ales and good food. Also the Lydford Gorge and water falls are a most. Plus lot's of local walks and Moors.

We moved into Lydford 15 years ago and renovated our house, after a couple of years we decided to renovate our little barn, as we so love our pretty Devon village and we wanted to share. We both work full time however we do try to meet and greet our guests when possible, We do holiday lets from other sources and we have been awarded superhost and 5 star rating.

Lydford offers many trails and country walks, we are lucky to have a nation trust in the area Lydford Gorge, which is stunning, (10 minute walk) also you can walk from the barn to the moors approx 15 minute walk, and at the top of the village you can enjoy a coffee, local produce or a home made pasty. The local village pub Castle Inn offers home made food, real ales and are children and dog friendly, with a nice garden 2 minutes away (advice booking). Only a 5 minute drive and you can go horse riding on the moors. Or just chill out in the barn garden.
