Less than 3 miles from the historic centre of Canterbury, this luxury B&B enjoys a rural setting within its own oak woodland. It offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi and plenty of off-road parking for all guests. Full English breakfast is available every morning and includes free-range bacon and sausages from the property’s own pig farm. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all the rooms. Guests staying at the Oakside Lodge Guest House can enjoy walking in the woodlands stretching to the ancient Blean Forest. Bird watching is a popular activity in the area, where visitors can hear the sound of the nightingale in its natural surroundings. Oakside Lodge Guest House is only a 5-minute drive from Canterbury West Railway Station, offering connections to London Central within less than an hour.

Oakside Lodge is a converted barn into a purpose built guest house accommodation along side its own private extensive oak woodland where they have developed a pig farm providing them with the pleasure of keeping pigs in their natural environment and also giving fantastic tasting meat (sausages and bacon). We have no minimum stay so whether you are booking an overnight stay or a longer holiday break, you are always welcome at Oakside Lodge.
Stuart enjoys running the guest house and meeting people from all different places. Georgiana runs a cleaning company servicing many hotels and knows what it takes to provide outstanding cleanliness along with service. We obviously have daily housekeeping included in the room rate, of exceptional standards. Both Stuart and Georgiana welcome guests to enjoy their bed and breakfast in their beautiful rural settings and pride themselves on their warm, friendly hospitality with onsite daily staff to assist.
Stuart and Georgiana have lived in Upper Harbledown for over twenty years and have enjoyed their rural setting although only being less than three miles from Canterbury City Centre. The local Gastro pub/restaurant "The Old Coach and Horses" serves fantastic fresh locally sourced food and is always popular with visitors and locals alike.

Alternatively, from Canterbury head along the A2050 Rheims Way and straight on through traffic lights. Take the next right-hand turn onto Wingate Hill, signposted for Upper Harbledown. Continue through the village and keep going until you see the Oakside Lodge sign on your right.
