At Woodlands Glencoe, hospitality isn’t just a job, it’s a family tradition! It all started with Laurence Young, a hotelier with hospitality in his DNA. He studied the craft at Surrey University, became an accountant (just to keep things interesting), and joined the family business in the heart of Glencoe Valley back in 1984. Alongside his wife, Morag, and his parents, they built a warm and welcoming collection of four hotels along the stunning West Coast. The family “retired” in 2010, but when hospitality runs this deep, you never really clock off! Fast forward to today, and Laurence’s son James is at the helm as Managing Director, keeping the Woodlands Estate buzzing with fresh ideas and that same warm welcome. He’s backed up by his siblings Callum and Katie, and with the next generation of grandkids already in training, the family business is in good hands for years to come. Whether they’re planning something new, fine-tuning the details or simply making sure you feel at home, the Young family, and the brilliant Woodlands team, can’t wait to welcome you to their little slice of Scottish paradise.

There are many beautiful places to explore locally on foot or by bicycle (the Caledonia Way Cycle Track passes through the estate).
