Take it easy at our unique and tranquil getaway. Rymmon Lodge is the ideal retreat to come back and relax after a day fishing at the doorstep “Swannay Loch” birdwatching, walking and sightseeing, time at the beach or browsing the shops and crafts of Kirkwall. BBQ with a view over the loch and gather round the fire pit with a tipple or two and watch the colourful night sky in this stunning Orkney rural retreat. **Arrival is STRICTLY from 4pm only** Private parking at the Lodge for two cars. We DO NOT allow pets at the Lodge as some guests have allergies. We DO NOT allow children at the Lodge as it is not suitable. There is a NON SMOKING policy INSIDE THE LODGE AND AROUND THE GROUNDS. We supply one bottle of gas if further gas is required co-op at Dounby is the nearest. On departure (upto 10am) please leave the Lodge AS YOU FOUND IT. Please empty bins (dustbin by shed outside) so we can adhere to C’vd guidelines and thoroughly clean for our next guests. Please do not leave washing up in sink.

I’m Sarah and I lived in the Yorkshire Dales with three super holiday let’s for a number of years. Having now retired to beautiful Evie in the Orkney Islands I would like to invite you to our super Lodge in the stunning area of Evie, Costa on mainland Orkney. We will leave you be at Rymmon Lodge for the whole of your visit as we like our guests to have privacy and freedom of their own space during their stay. We are however available at all times should you need us. Please SEND A MESSAGE and we will respond straight back.

We are right by Swannay Loch where you are welcome to fish for free (brown trout). An array of birds are in the area and seals at the nearby beach if you are keen birdwatchers. We recommend a car is a necessity or bicycle to get around and see the stunning areas (leaflets, etc. in the lodge). Our property is very rural so if that’s not what you are looking for then please do not book and then leave a review to say it was too rural. There is a post office and store in Evie village about three miles from Rymmon (Mistra) and supermarkets Tesco and Aldi and lots of shops and craft shops in Kirkwall (about 30 mins drive from Rymmon Lodge. Stromness (also approx 30 mins drive) with cute shops and eateries. Our local Mistra store/post office is about 3 miles and nearest fuel station being Coop in Dounby village (approx 6 miles). The lodge is not suitable for young children and we do not allow pets at the lodge. We DO NOT allow smoking in any of the rooms in the lodge, nor do we allow smoking outside the lodge.
