Enjoy having the best of all worlds: a city centre stay with easy access to Dartmoor and the beautiful Devon coasts and a comfortable, well equipped house and walled garden to return to and relax in. We stay here regularly ourselves so have decorated and equipped it with all the things we like to have around to make it feel homely and comfortable. The house (recently completely refurbished) has: 2 double bedrooms, two newly fitted bathrooms, a well equipped open plan L-shaped kitchen with dining and additional lounge area (lovely and airy under a glass roof looking out through the bifold glass doors spanning the house), as well as an additional cosy lounge at the front. The lovely walled garden sheltered by trees has a dining area and fire pit for guest use. Our house is in the middle of the popular and quirky St James area - a mix of students and permanent residents. Everything is on your doorstep: great restaurants at the top of the road; a short walk to Exeter university (lovely walks and an open air pool); the town centre (with its cathedral and many restaurants, shopping and bars) and the little branch line at St James train station for getting further afield. Parking is restricted but there are several pay-for car parks within a few minutes walk as well as several free parking spots in the area. Exeter is also perfectly located for quick access to Devon's attractions such as Dartmoor with its lovely villages and towns like Lustleigh and Ashburton (35 mins), Topsham (15 mins), several National Trust Properties (we especially recommend Killerton (15 mins) and Coleton Fishacre (stunning gardens and coastal path).
