The Burrow is a contemporary, comfortable and luxurious 1-bedroom garden apartment which is close to Exeter, Dartmoor and South Devon beaches. Wonderful views, king size bed, stunning bathroom, open plan kitchen, living and dining room, with your own private patio to enjoy the views. Breakfast, Nespresso machine and bathrobes are provided for your use during your stay. The Burrow is a conversion within the ground floor of our house which is a completely self contained garden apartment. Sound proofing has been designed by an Acoustic Engineer so there should be minimal noise transference between our space and yours. The Hutch and The Burrow can also be booked together so friends and family can holiday with each other, but each have your own space.

I am Chloe, mum to our daughter and our pair of beagles called Chester and Billy. We are lucky to live in such beautiful area of the country and really enjoy sharing this with others. My husband and I have been running The Hutch since November 2017 and are delighted at how well it is going. Thanks in part to this, we expanded in 2020 to open The Burrow. I love my job now, and really enjoy all aspects of running it. Massive job satisfaction! I have always had a strong interest in interior design and love staying in nice places myself. We have tried very hard for The Burrow to be a home from home for guests - and many comment as such.

We are located 3 miles to the west of Exeter and 3 miles from the edge of Dartmoor National Park. In fact, it is one of the main reasons our house appealed so much to us. Proximity to such a fabulous city and also to the wild moorland scenery. Beaches are about a 20-30 mins drive away - Exmouth, Teignmouth and Dawlish are our favourites and all have great facilities. Longdown is a small, quiet village 10 mins drive outside of Exeter. A children's play area is 5 min walk within the grounds of Longdown Village Hall. It is definitely best to bring a car, although for short stays you can get around via a country bus service which passes through the village between Moretonhampstead and Exeter, or cycle (there are some big hills) or taxi. A taxi from the city back to The Hutch in the evening is very reasonable.
