We bought The Westby in 2016 - returning back to hospitality after many years as YHA Managers. The previous owners had just completed a refurbishment of the property, with all bedrooms now en-suite too. We continued this refurbishment programme and offered more family accommodation, in 2 bedrooms. We have also introduced many green policies, such as using Ecotricity for our electricity and gas; Ecover & Bio friendly cleaning products, local LUSH showering products available if needed, recycled toilet paper, sourcing British food products, minimising packaging, energy efficient lighting, promotion of composting and recycling etc
We are active, sporty people, enjoying the fantastic promenade alongside the beach from Hengistbury Head to Sandbanks - either cycling, running or walking it's 7 mile length. You can challenge me to a tennis match on the public courts round the corner, or ask about local surfing, SUP or cycle hire opportunities. We are here to make you get the most out of your stay.

A warm welcome awaits everyone and we can also cater for tailored sole use groups. We are very proud of the quality of our newly modernised en-suite bedrooms, as well as keen to help all our visitors have a memorable and enjoyable stay in our comfortable home.

The Westby is situated in Boscombe. which is just 2 miles from busy central Bournemouth. It has the next pier eastwards from Bournemouth pier and is home to the Coastal Activity Zone - promoting sports such as surfing, SUP, beach volleyball, table tennis etc.
The seven miles of award winning sandy beaches are backed by a flat promenade with walkers, joggers, cyclists and the famous land train which connects Boscombe to Bournemouth. Boscombe town centre is also known for its alternative independent shops, bars (Chaplins won Best Entertainment Pub in the UK 2019), restaurants and is also home to the O2 Bournemouth Concert Hall and the Shelley Theatre.

Please note that The Westby Guest House offers quiet and relaxed accommodation and does not accept group bookings for hen or stag parties or late-night parties. The property reserves the right to turn down those parties on arrival. Parking is on a driveway for 3 cars for the 5 rooms and cannot be guaranteed - there is free parking in the surrounding streets. All rooms are situated on the first and second floor and accessed via the stairs. There are also some sloping ceilings on the second floor.
