Ilfracombe had in fact begun to be known as a pleasant resort before the end of the 18th Century and to many of us, remains a hidden gem; original and unspoilt and the best kept secret in Devon and the South West. Our North Devon holiday home is the lively harbour town of Ilfracombe, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the home of Verity. There are many fine and award winning restaurants and beaches, and some of the finest golf courses in the South West and UK.

We have created a beautiful holiday home for your enjoyment and pleasure. We live in the grounds of Upper Torrs View and look forward to welcoming you to Ilfracombe. We all love spending time on the beach areas and walking on the coastal paths. We enjoy cooking at home and always try and make full use of our amazing local suppliers and our own local baker, grocer and butcher. Eating out is always an absolute delight and we are simply spoilt for choice in Ilfracombe with so many excellent restaurants. We especially enjoy socialising in this wonderful community; The Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe Golf Club and many of local pubs with The Thatch and The Wellington remaining our favourites, depending on the occasion. We all want this visit to be the first of many visits to this hidden gem and the beautiful, unspoilt North Devon coastline. We are located in a quiet, private road sitting above the town and harbour and we are spoilt for choice for coastal walks and Ilfracombe is the perfect location to explore the whole North Devon coastline. The Tunnels Beaches, steeped in history, makes a fascinating visit for all ages...Hand carved in the 1820's, the four tunnels provide a truly unique experience. Ilfracombe is the largest harbour on the North Devon coast and has been in existence as a port for several centuries. It is an ideal centre from which to explore the many attractions that North Devon has to offer, along with being at a strategic location to reach destinations such as Lundy Island and other harbours along the North Cornwall and Bristol Channel coasts. Verity lives here! Verity is a stainless steel and bronze statue created by Damien Hirst. The 20.25-metre tall sculpture stands on the pier at the entrance to the harbour in Ilfracombe, Devon, looking out over the Bristol Channel towards South Wales. It has been loaned to the town for 20 years and remains an impressive addition to the harbour area after enjoying the zig-zag walk to the top of the Ilfracombe Torrs.
