The guest house is over a hundred years old built out of lakeland stone. With many original features still in place.The rooms are decorated to ensure a pleasing calm place to sleep,we have an extensive hospitality tray,home laundered bedding and towels ensuring fresh laundry.White Rose is set on a quiet street with outside space to sit and watch the world go by [when your not out walking and discovering] A water feature is in the garden adding to the tranquility.Over the winter period we have renovated three rooms a double,Twin and larger double room.Also installed a velux window on the upper landing where there was a skylight.We have also installed new radiators in all our rooms.
We are a very friendly couple who love meeting new people.We rate our rooms by our own expectations.Just let us know your requirements to enhance your stay. You can use the dinning room just ask.We love to walk and explore giving us a good knowledge of the area with things to see and do and trips you could take.Most of all a memorable stay is a must.
There are wonderful walks within easy distance Orrest head,school knott are a must.There is also a park mins away which has cricket,football and a crown green bowling green on it [local teams] However you may be able to join in just ask.As a small guest house we do not have private parking although the roads around are all free parking including the road we are on, and as a last resort there is a carpark opposite.The shops restaurants,and cafes are close by just a two minute walk away
