The property is located between Tanji fishing village and Sangyag 40 minutes drive from Banjul Airport. The property features apartments with private patios, an outdoor Banta bar and a swimming pool. Landscaped gardens surround the property. Each apartment has two bedrooms (master ensuite) that can sleep up to four adults, hot water shower supply, and a fitted kitchen - a cooker, fridge, and cooking utensils (A paid laundry service is available) to accommodate full self-catering; additionally, other areas include a living; dining area and private terrace. WiFi is available, please note the bandwidth may not be suitable for work related projects or gaming. Unfortunately due to the competitive room rates NO breakfast is included in the room rate ( including Genius members) The nearest beach is 3 km away and the nearest pub/restaurant is ten minutes walk away.
A past guest has said "Anthony and Kitty are an exceptional couple who thought of everything to ensure that our stay went well- nothing was a problem" We are a friendly laid-back couple who are committed to ensuring your stay at The White House is safe, clean and comfortable. We have travelled to most continents and can safely say we have sound knowledge of what travellers want. On occasions we accompany guests on tours like the safari in Senegal. Tony is a keen cyclist and local cycling trips can be arranged for a fee. Kitty loves cooking and presenting wholesome breakfasts and dinners to guests. She is happy for guests to accompany her to Tangi fishing market - a delight for all the senses and a great photo opportunity.
The property is a five-minute walk to Coastal Road. A local corner shop selling bread, eggs, drinks mobile phone data etc is at this junction. Local buses and taxis can be stopped on the main road throughout the day however we encourage guests to use our recommended taxi drivers. The nearest Bureau De Change is a five-minute taxi ride away in Sangyang. The neighbourhood is very tranquil with a range of large open spaces, dotted with palm trees that filter the coastal breeze. The early morning bird song is a joy to wake up to. This is partly why this area is so tranquil. The majestic Whitehouse is situated in a pleasant compound that is truly magnificent.
