Gerakas (800m) is an impressive sandy beach and can be reached easily on foot. It is known for its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters and forms part of the Zakynthos Marine Park, a protected area as a nesting site for the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles. In Gerakas guests can enjoy shopping at the local mini-markets and dining out at the local tavernas. Vasilikos, just a short drive away, is a picturesque and tranquil town offering a selection of traditional restaurants and all amenities.
