This ground floor apartment of a 2-story house is located right on the main beach of Kardamena, surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafes, and lounges. Just step out of the door, and enjoy the beach, swimming in crystal clear waters. Adjacent bars and restaurants offer beach chairs and umbrellas at very reasonable prices. They also serve drinks, snacks, delicious choices for lunch and dinner, also reasonably priced. There are 2 bedrooms. One with a queen-size bed, and the sliding doors provide direct access to the patio and a view of the beach. If you like to sleep in complete darkness, you’ll love the electrically operated roll-up darkeners. Leave them partially open and you will sleep to the lullaby of the gentle waves breaking on the shore. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 twin size beds. Both B/Ds feature spacious closets, USB outlets, and smart TVs. The living room is furnished with a sofa, which converts into a queen-size bed, a smart TV, and rollup darkeners. There are 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and features a regular-size oven, microwave, large fridge, coffee maker, and electric tea kettle. There is Wi-Fi and the house is fully air-conditioned.

My wife (a retired teacher) and I (a retired industrial engineer) live in the 2nd floor apartment. I swim every day, read, play backgammon with friends and relatives, take out my rowing boat often, and play the violin.

Stepping from the patio to the sand beach, literally, is not the only attraction of the apartment. It is also TRULY centrally located! Supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, snack bars, lounges, souvenir shops, ice-cream parlors, and other establishments are 2 to 5-minutes' walk away. The port, from where you can catch one of the day-trip ferries to the nearby volcano island of Nisyros, or other day-excursion boats, is a mere 4-minute walk. Laundry services are around the corner (40 meters). The municipal parking lot (free parking) is 150 meters away. A children's playground is 200 meters away. If you want to catch a bus ride to the town of Kos, the bus stop is 300 meters away. Getting to and from the airport is also a breeze (it's about a 6-kilometer 12-minute ride).
