Located on the beautiful island of Crete “Emerald” is a pleasant family run hotel in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with views of the mountains and the olive groves. Within easy reach of all amenities It’s situated very closed to the romantic old village, close to the Malia beach road and not far away from the beach (approximately 10 minutes walk) and it offers a quiet and relaxing holiday base from which to explore all the sight, culture and entertainment that Crete has to offer, or simply an ideal place in which to laze in the sun and get that golden tan.The well kept gardens, the sun terrace, the swimming pool and the pool bar promise you a lovely stay in the Emerald Hotel

The Minoan Palace and the archaeological site of Malia are located 3 km East of the EMERALD HOTEL. From the architectural point of view the Palace of Malia, is the third- largest of the Minoan Palaces and is considered the most "provincial" of them.It covers d an area of 7,500 sq.m. and according to tradition the third son of Zeus and Europa, Sarpedon, brother of the legendary king Minos, ruled here.
In 5 minutes walk distance is the beautifull old village of Malia which you can visit for a nice walk, or in order enjoy your meal in one of the restaurants that offers excellent quality of greek food. Potamos beach, located next to the archaelogical site of malia is a long beautiful beach with fine white sand and crystal-clear waters and is considered as one of Crete’s finest beaches.
