Your host, Christos, is a professional (electrical engineer and management consultant). His mother's side of the family originates from Samos, and up until his University years he has been spending summers in the island. Now he lives and works in Athens, and will be available to answer any questions during your booking process and prior to your arrival. When you arrive, your on-site host will be Claudia. She speaks German, Greek, English and French, she will meet you following arrival and before departure, and is the go-to person for any issues that may arise during your stay.

This old townhouse, on the promenade of the picturesque town of Pythagorio, has been completely rebuilt a few years ago, maintaining and preserving the stone façade that is characteristic of Samian architecture around the turn of the 20th century. Beautifully lighted at night, the building is a landmark visible from almost every part of the harbor seafront. The ground floor houses, perhaps, the best wine bar of the island. Inside the building, the first floor has been developed into 3 single space apartments, each hosting 2 persons. Two apartments are facing the promenade, one of them with a large balcony, offering a majestic view of the Pythagorio waterfront and its vibrant night life. The third apartment is smaller and faces the quiet back alley where the entrance of the property is located. All of three have marble floors. And then there is the Attic in the second floor, a spacious fully equipped apartment with kitchen, beautifully preserved wooden floor and an ample-sized terrace overlooking the harbor. Offering a queen size bed and a sofa that turns into a double bed, this apartment can host up to 4 persons who will enjoy unique views from a secluded position. The apartments have just been renovated, bathrooms are brand new. They will gradually become available starting from mid-June 2024. The building has no elevator. A staircase takes you from the ground level entrance to the first floor apartments. Then a narrower metal staircase takes you to the Attic in the second floor. If you have a disability or other condition restricting movement, please consider other accommodation alternatives. A WiFi mesh system has been installed, so signal is strong everywhere in the building.

The Stonehouse at the Harbor is located in the automobile-restricted area of Pythagorio. Parking is available at no cost in the municipal parking lot in the entrance of the town (coming in from the direction of the airport). It is a 10 minute walk to the property.
