Proselinos is an old home of an historical Dimitsanitan family of Skagiannis. The mother of the famous Greek poet Kostas Karyotakis belonged to this family. Kostas Karyotakis himself stayed in the house in July 1927! Proselinos is located in the center of Dimitsana and it is one of the renovated houses, that followed the strict guidelines of the Greek architectural authorities and fully preserved the traditional architecture of the mountains of Central Peloponnese. Proselinos was always a home, and we tried hard to make it feel like a home - your home! Feel free to enjoy it !

Dimitsana is located in the center of Peloponnese, at the southwestern slopes of Mainalon, at an altitude of 950 to 1020 meters. The Greeks call it "powder keg" because in the years of Turkish domination there were small manufacturing facilities making gunpowder. This gunpowder "fed" the Revolution against the Turks in 1821. You must visit the Open Museum of Water Power, a park, full of water and of particular interest. Learn how much power had the water in the pre-industrial period and how it facilitated the people. You will also see a fulling mill, where people washed their clothes, a mill where the grain was grinded, a tannery and a gun powder mill. It is worth visiting by car or by foot (it is just 2 km from Dimitsana). Dimitsana is a very impressive town with beautiful traditional architecture and spectacular places. Wandering in the narrow streets, you will travel in the history admiring the family home of Paleon Patron Germanos, the house where the Patriarch Gregory V was born, which is preserved and is operating as a church museum.
