Imerovigli village, perched 400 m above sea level, is the highest village of Santorini. Imerovigli, known as ‘the balcony of Aegean’ is a quiet but gorgeous traditional settlement offering amazing panoramic views over caldera’s cliffs, the volcano, and the renowned sunset. It is an ideal choice for visitors interested in peaceful, relaxing, and hustle-free holidays. Its white-washed houses are built amphitheatrically around the caldera creating unique scenery. Imerovigli is crossed by narrow, paved paths, where visitors can explore its unique landscape and admire the breathtaking vista, and even hike Skaros Rock to enjoy a special spectacle. Imerovigli has many beautiful blue dome churches and chapels, with some of them facing the panoramic caldera composing a once-in-a-lifetime experience (e.g., Anastasi Church). Imerovigli is very close to the capital of Fira which is accessible by a cliffside path while Oia is accessible through the famous gorgeous hiking path by the cliffs.
